Benefits of Membership

Here are several of the most important reasons why membership in NAHREP remains valuable year after year. Read on to refresh your memory about benefits you may have overlooked, opportunities to upgrade your existing membership level, or pass this information on to a colleague who hasn’t yet joined NAHREP.

ADVOCACY

· Representing legislation on local, state, and federal levels. NAHREP membership enables you to have a voice on a nationwide basis. Active participation through affiliates gives you a voice on locally based issues and policies. Together we represent more than 50,000 Hispanic real estate professionals and together we can affect change. Our strength is our collective voice.

· Developing a political action committee (PAC) that supports the legislative interests of Hispanic real estate professionals.

· Supporting the efforts of Hispanic-Americans to achieve greater representation in key government regulatory positions related to real estate.

· NAHREP provides access to key partners in the housing industry, including HUD, Government Sponsored Enterprises, major lenders, real estate franchises and independently owned brokerages.

EDUCATION

· Publication of Real Voices, NAHREP’s official magazine and your guide to all NAHREP events and news. Real Voices also provides a source for regional and national information on the scope of the real estate industry.

· Distribution of information that assists members in successfully adjusting to industry changes brought about by enhanced modern technologies.

· Opportunity to achieve the NAHREP Certified Professional designation (NCP). The NCP educational course immerses you in the unique characteristics of Hispanic culture and sub-cultures. It is designed for all real estate practitioners and provides tools to serve the needs of this growing market. NCP graduates are then connected to a network of approved purchasers who have completed a homebuyer-counseling program. The idea is to connect prospective purchasers who have been pre-approved for the purchase of a home with practitioners who are NCP certified, and aware of the characteristics of the Hispanic homebuyer.
